Wayne Gerdes requested pictures of the battery compartment of the Honda Civic Hybrid, so here they are. These pictures come from a car of a customer of mine who had XM radio installed. The vehicle is a 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid CVT base trim.
This shows the shielding on the outside of the battery compartment for the Civic Hybrid.
I still haven't turned on the computer that is holding my pictures of the actual battery pack, I'll do that eventually and post the pictures here. (More pictures after the jump)
This is the same thing from the other side of the car
Here to the left above the battery and electronics casing you can see the inlet for the High Voltage System's cooling system. To the right coming out of the casing you can see the outlet for the cooling system. The outlet exits behind the outer skin of the vehicle and through the bumper vents as shown in a later picture.
Here is a detailed shot of the Inlet and left side of the casing and trunk.
Here is a detailed shot of the outlet for the cooling system and the bumper vent it exits through.
Here is another shot of the IMA Electronics shielding it is located behind the rear seat-back. If I'm not mistaken the main switch for the system is located under the odd shaped panel in the center and is used when working on the high voltage system to render it harmless to a technician.
