IMG_7314 logoToday we changed the layout of the site to something that would be more flexible going forward, the last framework we were using was right about at the point where we would have started having to do some inelegant hacking to continue to provide the level of sophisticated articles our readers and members have come to expect.

The old framework was starting to creak with some of the articles we post and the width was on the narrow side of the scale. This new setup allows us to go forward with new article presentation options and video will now be an easy option. The last time we featured a video we received several useful feedback comments.

Green was an available option but the shade of green vs. the shade of blue that were preset were no competition in my eye, I could have customized all of that but I like the shade of blue. The next time we change I will probably go back to green though.

We will also introduce two new types of posts, currently we have general posts about hybrids and the environment and saving gas etc, we also have frequently asked questions (that section will see some love and maintenance soon enough), and posts about the new Honda Insight, the old one too but not much will change there.

The new topics are Events and Gatherings, and Worth 1000. We attend enough events to keep this section fresh. Worth 1000, is a photo category where authors like myself that dabble in photography can post interesting pictures, there might be some accompanying descriptions or there may not, usually it will be one or two photos, but a whole photo gallery isn’t going to be frowned upon.   post_sig
